This site-specific installation for the Larnaca Biennale explores biobased, sustainable, and circular building. It is grown, not built, and uses only hemp and mycelium to form a fully self-supporting structure.

Industrial hemp sequesters more carbon dioxide per acre than any other crop and reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers in many crop rotation systems. Mycelium, the root network of fungi, binds the material into a firm, moldable mass. Together, they create a biodegradable, regenerative building block.

Unlike other mycelium structures that relied on wood or metal frames, this is the first self-supporting architectural-scale mycelium structure in the world. It marks a shift in how we design with nature. Symbolizing innovation, circularity, and ecological stewardship.
